Predictive Model Date Published: January 18, 2007 Click here to download Option 1: Story telling was used to describe how this insurer determines which of its members should receive unsolicited health-related interventions - as well as determine which interventions resulted in successful outcomes. Option 2: As data enters a database full of records (the small boxes), records are "shuffled" to determine which member is first in line to get a call from a nurse. The order can change at any moment depending on the new data that is constantly coming into the database. Each record represents a member and his/her data. Previously the company could look at interventions (inputs) and all outcomes but could not determine which interventions caused which outcomes.
