About PowerPoint Heaven PowerPoint Heaven is a PowerPoint entertainment portal for PowerPoint animations, games, artworks, showcases, animation templates and tutorials. All the works found in PowerPoint Heaven are done by PowerPoint Heaven's Contributors. PowerPoint Heaven showcases on the alternate uses of PowerPoint, maximizing and pushing beyond the capability of Microsoft PowerPoint. The goal is to show users that PowerPoint is not simply a presentation tool, but is also capable on leveraging into other areas such as creating games, artworks and animations. PowerPoint Heaven PowerPoint Heaven, founded in 2005, is the largest and only international PowerPoint entertainment portal and community featuring advanced PowerPoint animations, artworks and games. It is a place where the best PowerPoint works are showcased. PowerPoint Heaven has also been regularly featured on media and publications (both international and local) such as Forbes, Microsoft Office Online, The Straits Times, AsiaOne and many more. PowerPoint Heaven and Korea's PowerPoint Expert Club Korea's PowerPoint Expert Club, founded in 2003, is the largest PowerPoint community in Korea with over 300,000 members. PowerPoint Heaven works closely with PowerPoint Expert Club. One of the primary goals in PowerPoint Heaven is to act as a bridge to showcase outstanding works from Korea's PowerPoint Expert Club internationally and at the same time, allowing Korea's PowerPoint communities to receive works done from outside Korea. PowerPoint Heaven and China's Rapid PPT China's Rapid PPT, founded in 2007, is one of the most robust PowerPoint community in China with over 30,000 members. PowerPoint Heaven works closely with Rapid PPT. One of the primary goals in PowerPoint Heaven is to act as a bridge to showcase outstanding works from China's Rapid PPT internationally and at the same time, allowing China's PowerPoint communities to receive works done from outside China. Examples of these works can be found in the Gallery. About Webmaster Tohlz is the founder and webmaster of PowerPoint Heaven. His works can be found under Tohlz's Projects and Tutorials. His works include tutorials, animations, reviews and many more. On April 2006, Tohlz is awarded by Microsoft as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP PowerPoint). He has been certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist for Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Personal Thoughts I could still remember at that time, where people were still using PowerPoint 97 and saving their presentations into floppy disks, always worrying that the file will be too big. But right now, given the large removable storage devices, there is no fear of it anymore. I have been using PowerPoint since 1998. Many a times, people thought my PowerPoint presentations were done using Macromedia Flash, because they have no idea how I created these animations. Some also asked whether I have used any third-party software. My answer is always No. People often ask me to help or teach them on making these presentations. But through speech, it is very difficult for your point to get across, hence, I decided to set up a site. My goal is to spread 'The Art of PowerPointing', so that everyone's presentations can be interesting and draw the attentions of the audiences rather than sticking with distracting animations that you will rather want the person to present his work in a wordpad instead. The purpose of creating this site is to educate people regarding the use of Custom Animations. From my point of view, animations are often the cause for destroying the whole presentation, because most presentations that you often see, contain those 'I-already-expected-that' animations.
