| About PowerPoint Heaven |
PowerPoint Heaven is a website providing
PowerPoint games, artworks, PowerPoint showcase, animation templates, PowerPoint animations and tutorials on animating Microsoft PowerPoint.
All the works found in PowerPoint Heaven are done by Shawn Toh and PowerPoint Heaven's Contributors.
Over the years, Microsoft
PowerPoint has become a widely-used software in
presentations.
Examples such as schools, have adopted
PowerPoint as the program for student to present
their projects and assignments to the class. PowerPoint
is a wonderful software for presenting your works,
likewise, it can also be a disaster if you fail to
understand the purpose of the animations.
To create a good presentation, it is hence, essential to
handle the animations properly. A simple concept on
PowerPoint animations will be, either to make it stand
out from the crowd, or don't use it at all. In
PowerPoint Heaven, the site will focus mainly on
creating amazing animations. And if you are interested
in PowerPoint backgrounds, custom templates and other
PowerPoint related materials, feel free to take a look
at some of the sites under the links page.
So who are recommended to use the animations found here?
Animations are recommended for school's presentations,
curriculum activities' camp briefing, screensaver, and etc.
As for lecturers and businessmen in my opinion, should
minimize (not eliminating though) the use of animations,
concentrating on the look and content of the
presentations.
So why are animations useful? In projects' presentations,
lecturers have seen hundreds of slides throughout their years
of teaching. By making a presentation that stands out,
it not only improves the overall quality of your presentation but also
allows the lecturer to leave a deep impression. By combining
good contents, presentation skills and animations, your overall presentation
will then easily outshines other teams.
So, why not start making your lecturers and classmates go, "WOW!" now?

I could still remember at that time, where
people were still using PowerPoint 97 and saving their presentations into floppy disks, always
worrying that the file will be too big. But right now, given the large removable storage devices,
there is no fear of it anymore.
I have been using PowerPoint since 1998. Many a times, people thought my PowerPoint
presentations were done using Macromedia Flash, because they have no idea how I created these animations.
Some also asked whether I have used any third-party software. My answer is always No.
People often ask me to help or teach them on making these presentations. But through speech, it is very difficult
for your point to get across, hence, I decided to set up a site. My goal is to spread 'The Art of PowerPointing', so that
everyone's presentations can be interesting and draw the attentions of the audiences rather than sticking with distracting animations that you will rather want the person to present
his work in a wordpad instead.
The purpose of creating this site is to educate people regarding the use of Custom Animations. From my point of view, animations are often the cause
for destroying the whole presentation, because most presentations that you
often see, contain those 'I-already-expected-that' animations. Hence, by surfing through this site, I hope everyone will be able to understand
more about maximizing PowerPoint.
